I remember the art deco interior quite well, including the pink "floral design" fabric wallpaper and the exquisite translucent deco lamp shades in the theater auditorium. I also have memories of watching the annual county fair parade that used to run down Miner and Broadway streets literally sitting on the metal rooftop of the marquee. I've heard that the the theater has long since closed down, sadly. I only have a few pictures of the concession stand in the lobby, dating from about 1962 or '63. - Sue NeimoyerSuehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11671329816793529575noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4940611489190367707.post-34328445602195024512011-01-14T16:04:15.991-08:002011-01-14T16:04:15.991-08:00Thank you for post and question. There is a photo of the exterior in its "Moorish style" in our book, Yreka Images of America by Arcadia Publishing on page 43. You might contact the Siskiyou County Museum as they have a large collection of photographs of our area. But of course I'm a Deco fan. I attend the movies quite frequently and am glad we have a theater in town.<BR/>DonDon Easthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09307078199668970556noreply@blogger.com
